Nature of sensations series
Works of this series are based on certain, sometimes long gone visually intuitive impressions related to the four elements (fire, water, air, earth), nature and landscape, micro- and macrocosm, depths and atmospheric phenomena, all transforming into cosmic spaces and changing the scale. The Koch snowflake, Google Earth program where you can make yourself a spontaneous trip by randomly picking a place on the Earth and gradually watching deployment of the color graphic reality via the change of scale, long practices of asceticism and inner work without connection to the outside world, travels to pristine destinations lying far away from the civilization and rich in unique atmospheric (read: color) phenomena – all that is a raw material and the basis for work. Paintings form the appearance of landscape through the magnifying glass, addressing the structure of surface, reaction of materials through cracks and overlayers, stains and blotches, micro-landscape of color bubbles.
