Alena Kuznetsova

Alena Kuznetsova was born in 1986. She received Master’s degree in Fine Arts in the KNUBA. She graduated MARI, school of contemporary art, New Art School and School of Visual Communication in Kyiv. She had 14 solo and innumerous local and international group shows, among them are From Ukraine with love, Gallerie Lorien in Copenhagen, Denmark; The Art of Resistance, Municipal Exhibition Hall - Casino Lliberal in Valencia, Spain; Collective art show, Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid, Spain; Values on the way, Lite-haus galerie + Projektraum in Berlin, Germany, Dornbirn Art Fair in Dornbirn, Austria. Her paintings and sculptures are in private collections in Ukraine, the USA, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Spain, Hong Kong and France.

Alena Kuznetsova works with such mediums as painting, graphics, land art, video, ceramic sculpture, and installation, while the leading media is still painting. She focuses on art as on the philosophical concept of Image in art, as well as change, transformation, and the phenomenon of time. This applies to more than 10 years of colour research as a stand-alone medium in an abstract approach, the gradual splitting, and dissolving of the "solid" academic form into pure vibration of the paintings.
